Terms of Use
Thanks for using the Novelizer app!
Novelizer is a simple entertainment app. A good deal of care has gone into making this app reliable and
simple to use. That said, Novelizer, like any application, could have a bug or service issue.
These terms of use clarify what responsibility the application developer has if a bug or misunderstanding
causes the app to work differently than you expect. They also describe your responsibilities as
a user of the service.
By using Novelizer, below referred to as "the application", you agree to these terms of use.
General Responsibility
-
You understand that Novelizer attempts to write fiction, and that nothing it writes should be taken
to be true.
-
You understand that despite best efforts to build a solid, reliable application, this application could
have faults, or be affected by external infrastructure problems. As a user, you agree to hold the
application developer, David McNerney, harmless in the event that the application does not do what
you believe it is supposed to do. You agree that the developer's liability in the event of a problem
is limited to a refund of any fees paid.
-
You promise not to attempt to use Novelizer to write harmful, offensive, or illegal content.
-
If somehow Novelizer generates such content, you agree to hold the application
developer harmless, and promise not to share that content publicly. Feel free to reach out to
support to have something removed from your library.
-
You understand that the application developer reserves the right to invalidate share links, or to
remove novels, chapters, etc. from any user's library if an issue arises,
particularly if a takedown notice or other legal request is received.
-
In general, if your use of the application results in legal hassles or legal risk for the application
developer, you can expect to be blocked from further use of the app.
Protecting the Work of Writers
- The AI text generation API that Novelizer uses normally does not output copyrighted material.
-
We believe that any small mentions of or references to copyrighted material that might creep in
would be legally considered "Fair Use" in the United States.
-
You agree to not use or reference copyrighted material in your titles, character names,
chapter descriptions, or any other input to the app.
-
If you notice that copyrighted material may have appeared in the generated text of one of your
novels, you agree not to share that novel publicly, and to contact support as necessary.
Acceptance
- If you do not agree with these terms of use, or cannot commit to abide by them, then you
must not use the app.
